TOPSPIN 2.X NUS SET-UP

This protocol is only for partners who are using Topspin 2.x.

1. Import pulse program, AVI_hsqcetfpgpsi2_nus.txt, into your pulse program folder. Typically, this directory tree is similar to this: topspin/exp/stan/nmr/lists/pp/user. Click on the link to download the pulse program.

AVI_hsqcetfpgpsi2_nus.txt

2. Import relevant NUS schedules into the vc folder. Typically, this is located at topspin/exp/stan/nmr/lists/vc. Be sure to enter the vc list in the acquisition parameters.

3. Under Acquistion parameters tab (AcquPars), set the following:

                PULPROG                            AVI_hsqcetfpgpsi2_nus.txt

                FnMODE                              undefined

4. Set the total number of points in F1 according to the number of entries in the vc list. Remember that the NUS schedule represents the number of complex points. For example, for experiment 2b, enter 64 points into F1.

Note: Due to limitations of Topspin 2.x software, for NUS experiments the number of points in F1 must be an even number and must be twice the number of entries in the NUS schedule. For example, on a 600 MHz spectrometer, enter 112 total points in F1 instead of 113 points. This will not compromise comparability with data from other spectrometers.

5. Set up all other experimental parameters as normal.

6. Pulse program testing with uniform sampling (US) acquisition.

Import an acquisition schedule that contains every point into the vc folder. For 64 complex points, number the points 0 through 63. If you need help with this testing, please contact Robert Brinson. Note: The first increment must be 0!

Recommendation: Use the same pulse sequence for both the US and NUS experiments, AVI_hsqcetfpgpsi2_nus.txt.

Uniform Sampling Schedule, Experiment 2A: us_128pts.txt

Uniform Sampling Schedule, Experiment 2C on 600 MHz: us_226pts.txt
