Abstract
Biology often uses non-covalent interactions to create responsive structures and confer complex functions (e.g., molecular recognition). On page 1972, X. Qu, C. Liu, and co-workers report how, using biology as a source of materials and inspiration, a responsive lectin (protein)-polysaccharide nanoparticle coating is self-assembled with terminal galactomannan residues to confer liver-cell targeting functions.
