Manufacturing USA: Spotlight on Biomanufacturing
The newest members of the Manufacturing USA network are the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL; funded by the Department of Commerce), and the Advanced Tissue Biofabrication Manufacturing Innovation Institute (funded by the Department of Defense; awarded to the Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institute, or ARMI). These institutes will have far-reaching impacts on the manufacturing processes for biologic therapies and tissue-based products.
