Public Presentation of Data

Our position with regard to the inter-laboratory data is as follows: during the measurement and analysis phases of the study, data collected on the NIST-Fab is to be used for the purposes of the study only. It should not be publicly used for any other case studies or comparability exercises. After all partners have submitted their measured data for anonymization, NIST will collate the data, and all partners will receive the complete collection of anonymized data from all sites.

All anonymized data from the study will also eventually be made publicly available to the community at large after the study is complete.

Public dissemination of the results from the inter-laboratory should represent a consensus of the partners which will be arrived at through group forums (e.g., conference calls, the web forum, emails) mediated by NIST. If Partner X gives one interpretation; NIST gives another; and Partner Y offers a third interpretation, this will impact a main goal of the study which is to achieve communal consensus. NIST is committed to working quickly in the Fall to turn around the data analysis and work with the group to distill out the main findings of the study. As part of this process, NIST will take the lead in developing a PowerPoint slide deck that could be used in whole or part by all partners for presentations. These slides, together with publications from the study, should provide useful tools for partners who wish to present the work. NIST plans to give a minimum of 2 weeks notice before our first public presentation of results. In addition, we ask that all partners inform the group whenever the study is presented publicly (title, conference, venue), and NIST will collate the presentation list as one means of judging impact.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

If any participant is interested in using the NISTmAb for purposes outside of the scope of the inter-laboratory study, the material is now available for sale as a reference standard through this web link: https://www-s.nist.gov/srmors/view_detail.cfm?srm=8671

If any partner desires to show the feasibility of NMR of mAbs or for case studies, you may use NIST published data in the link below. Please use the proper citation.
